Cheney Doesn’t Care About You…
No surprise. In an interview on ABC, when told that a majority of Americans don’t agree with the Bush administration’s Iraq war policy, Vice President Dick Cheney’s response was, “So…” accompanied by a big, shit eating grin on his face.
We have all labored under the concept that the Iraq war and subsequent occupation has been a bleak failure. To us, this is true, but perception is multifaceted. Rachel Maddow on her Air America show and on Countdown With Keith Olbermann, made a great point; to Cheney and his goons, the war has been a good thing. Follow. Big oil, not the Iraqi people control the Iraqi oil fields, this has made the price of gasoline at the pump, skyrocket. KBR, the wholly owned subsidiary of Halliburton, has contracts to be in Iraq for an indeterminate period. Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton, and stepped down when he became veep, but I would expect he still has holdings in the company in the form of stock options or bonds.
It’s not all of that that pisses me off so much, it’s the arrogance of this guy. He should constantly be reminded that he works for us, and not just the rich or entitled ones of us, but the downtrodden and the ones that need a hand up. Bastard.

Well, that just goes along with their thinking he doesn’t have to abide by the Geneva Convention.
No step forwards here, just a couple hundred years back. Perhaps we should raise the Imperial War Flag and have done with it. Obviously we are just so far above everybody else that they should get over themselves and lock step beneath us like good little serfs. They wouldn’t DARE harm our citizens, now would they…
Perhaps when either of them are abroad, some forward thinking country should just go and arrest them and put them on trial at the Haige for war crimes. Now that would be amusing, wouldn’t it?
Alan, glad to have you on the team.
As far as the waterboarding thing, that is just a travesty. Now our right wing weighted, non-activist Supreme Court has ruled that anyone from a foreign country that gets arrested here doesn’t have the right to make a call to their consular office in the US. This is apparently an effort to detain and disappear people The Decider’s administration (I almost typed “we” instead of ” The Decider’s administration;” how silly of me) has deemed a terror suspect. I have only one question for them. What stops any other country from doing the same to our citizens?
You’re right… I’ve never seen DLOTS Cheney and Emporer Palpatine in the same room. If we ever see Cheney eating a turkey club with cole slaw and cherry Coke, we’ve got ‘im dead to rights.
Gitmo - where they can both experience first hand the joys of waterboarding which they still insist isn’t torture. To their cries of it being inhumane (when applied to them) we could simply respond, “So?”
Hmmmm - Emperor Palpatine and Dick Cheney - have you ever seen the two together in the same room?
As I have said in another post, Cheney is a Dark Lord of the Sith, and an insult to DLOTS everywhere.
Personally, I can only conclude that Cheney made a pact with the dark side long ago; otherwise, he’d be dead by now — the man doesn’t have a heart. We already know he is evil. We know he doesn’t care. I’m afraid it may take a stake in the heart and/or a silver bullet to get rid of him.
This is the comment I have been waiting for all of my life.
Darth Cheney and is butt boy George I hope go to a maximum security prison for all their crimes. I wish for this……badly!
