Dean warns Dems of divided danger - Victoria McGrane - Politico.com:
Howard Dean warned on Sunday that a Democratic Party that’s still divided come convention time could hand the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Arizona Sen. John McCain, the presidency. But Dean said he’s not going to pressure undecided superdelegates to pick a side.
Speaking on both CBS’s “Face the Nation” and ABC’s “This Week,” Dean sounded confident that the superdelegates themselves would make their decisions quickly enough to avoid disaster.
“The only thing that is going to make John McCain president is disunity among Democrats. And we cannot afford four more years, essentially, of George W. Bush,” Dean said on “Face the Nation.”
The only answer I have to Governor Dean is this; in the 1932 Democratic Convention, Franklin Roosevelt and Al Smith went toe to toe right up to the end. When it was over and the smoke cleared, the party united behind FDR and his running mate, John Nance Garner. Herbert Hoover was running again, but no one wanted him and his disastrous policies to continue further. FDR was swept into the White House winning all but five states in the election.
Whoever is the nominee, no one wants the same thing and that is exactly what John McSame is going to do. Bush 3.

Looks like Hill and Barry are working it all out. Unity anyone?
Agreed. Regardless of how I might prefer Hillary to do drop out, as there is virtually no way she can cleanly win the nomination, I do think it’s important for the process to play itself out.
Hell, Bill didn’t get the nom until June of ‘92…
Here, Here!!!. Let every state have their say. Whoever wins the nomination I will back just to not have McSame in the White House. I do not know what scares me more, McSame’s senility or his Bushness.
