Subscribe with Feedburner

I am trying to justify my reason to use ecto 3 for blog editing. Now you can subscribe to the blog using Feedburner. Feedburner creates RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds for the blog, which you subscribe to using an RSS news reader (an aggregator) such as NetNewsWire for the Mac or FeedDemon for Windows. By subscribing to the feed directly, you can bypass the need for one of these programs because updates and the content are sent by email, however, it is a good way to read other blogs. Since a newsreader aggregates the content and feeds update automatically, you can catch up with all your favorite websites that carry feeds in one place. It’s pretty neat.

When you subscribe via Feedburner, you will get one email per day with all new posts in it. Right now, I have it set to send between 7-9 PM. This cuts down on the amount of emails that will be generated, although, I am not a blogging fool. Additionally, if you all subscribe via Feedburner, there will be no need for any other method, and I will close down the other notification plugins, except the one that updates about comments.

BTW, the Feedburner address for control, shift, cheeseburger is http://feeds.feedburner.com/ControlShiftCheeseburger. Use that address to subscribe if you’d like.

As you know, I already use NetNewsWire for my blog seeing needs. I like it’s interface and it is easy to subscribe to the various blogs I read. One other feature I like in NetNewsWire is it shows when a blog is no longer around. Very cool though, the new method of subscriptions.
