What’s Up Over at General Mills?
I am sorry, I have to do it again. I really love Cheerios, but crap like this is going to diminish the brand.
We went to Costco, and we were looking for cereal just to get us through the week (Costco does not have a good selection of cereal) and I found a two pack of the newest thing, Fruity Cheerios. We got a box. They looked good, and I thought the idea of healthy Froot Loops might not only be healthy but would also be tasty.
Wrong.
I opened the box, expecting to be assaulted by the fruit punch smell typically associated with fruity cereals. You really do not smell them until you pour them, and then only when you get close up. The “fruit flavor” is practically non-existent. They mix corn in with the oats, and I couldn’t tell if the gritty texture of the cereal was from the corn or the oats. I actually had to add sugar to get any discernible flavor from these rings of hell. Very bad. Yecch!
