Picture of the Enterprise from the New Movie

You can see it at trekmovie.com. I like it, and all we see is a fleeting glimpse. Yes, you may be tempted to leave after the trailer plays ahead of "Cloverfield" but stick around, I hear the director is pretty good.

Star Trek/Toshiba Special Offer

This would be a good deal if all you wanted was an HD-DVD player. If you buy any Toshiba HD-DVD player between now and 02/29/08 and the box set of Star Trek Remastered Season One, Toshiba will throw in a phaser remote. If you are going to do this, remember, use the link below to […]

More Loscon 34

Star Trek and Narrowcasting

Another article from trekmovie.com has excerpts from Star Trek Magazine (the new UK version that is sold in the U.S.) and their interviews with Brent Spiner and Rick Berman. Brent Spiner has some interesting things to say that actually mirror my opinions about Star Trek’s audience numbers:

They Want to Make a Web Based Animated Star Trek

Why this is doomed…

Star Trek Armada 2

I am not one to “game” much. What I mean by that is, computer game. I have a Playstation 2 I haven’t seen in over a year because my little girl insists on having it in her room, and I have some games for that that I have been trying to play (Splinter Cell comes […]

The Future of Star Trek

Over the weekend I was asked to participate on a panel at the Loscon 32 SF convention about the future of Star Trek. Where is the franchise headed? We had on the panel with me, Lee Whiteside, who manages the wonderful SFTV pages , Jill Sherwin who wrote Quotable Star Trek, Margaret Wander Bonnano the […]
